Site changes are underway. I didn't finish the updates before I ran out of juice for the night. For now, the whole backend has been upgraded, but there's still a lot of work to do.

I'm sorry to say, but the site will be a mess for most of the day. Right now, though, I need to sleep.

It's been a while in development, but Flash Game Post has finally gotten the core system working and has officially "launched!" Yay! This means, for starters, all the players who have been visiting PointlessGames.com for many years will be able to play all the games that used to be on this site!

For various reasons -- possibly for a limited time -- I've decided to keep my baby PointlessGames.com clear of externally-made games. I might start including other games, but if I do, they will be very strictly screened and will either be very high quality or just be really pointless. Since I don't make "very high quality" games, I have to have the other category of "really pointless" or I wouldn't even get my own games on the site! :P

So go to Flash Game Post to play a slew of online games, but be sure to come back here later for our goodies. :P

It's been a loooong time coming, but here we go on the next round of work on PointlessGames.com. I'm figuring it is around version 3.0, but maybe more like 6.0 or something if you count some of the really early work back around 1999-2003 or so. Whatever it's called, I'm stoked to get things using a MUCH better (read: easier to work with) system in the back end. This should help me across several sites to make updates and add features.

So... a couple notes as of today:

Scores are not yet working in the games that have been moved over. This will remain a work in progress on this new site system, but I figure having games to play is more important than having high scores... I know scoring rocks though, so that will come soon. Content from the old Pointless Games site -- including games, articles, forum posts and comments -- will all be converted over time, with my ideas of the "most important" stuff being converted first, followed by the rest. I may actually just tank some of it if it's not something we need anymore. There's a lot of history here that I want preserved, so I hope to get most of it pulled in, for archival purposes if nothing else. This is still a work in progress, so hopefully anything broken will be fixed soon. Please have some patience and drop me a note if you have requests or praise (especially praise... I need motivation to keep working hard on this stuff, eh?!)

Well, I'm not too sure this works or not at this point, but I made an attempt to bring in all the old user accounts from the previous Casino Game Planet site. The thing is, my testing of my other accounts didn't seem to work every time. Bugger.

Please try to log in using your previous account if you have created one already before today (Dec. 20, 2007). If it doesn't work, please use the contact form to send an email. Please include information about your account including your account/login name (if you remember it) and your email address. I'll generate a new password for you and help you get back online.

If you still have trouble dealing with this, just feel free to create a new account. Sorry for the mess -- I had hoped to transition old users in better, but alas, this stuff is all a pain. :)

It's been a pain getting things working again after a MAJOR upgrade to the site. However, I've finally gotten over the main hump and we're ready to move on to adding games! I'm still updating a few other sites that will be connected to Casino Game Planet, but I'll explain more about that later. For now, you should find a MUCH nicer looking site here and the free online game pages will look better too.

Soon, I'll be adding more content and likely a couple more strategic ads to help pay the bills -- gotta do that, ya know. Please don't get too irritated if something changes drastically again over the coming months. I'm working on a lot of big features that may end up changing the way I have to make each page display or some such nonsense. Either way, it should all shake out in the end to be much better.
